he First Sunday in the month
is our all-age service. This service is designed to include children for
the whole service. Each month we have a different theme, and a more interactive
experience of church for our youngest members. The service includes a
special children’s homily and child-friendly music. Our Sunday School
takes place the remaining weeks of each month. Click here
for more information about our Sunday School.
Every Sunday children are encouraged to receive communion or a blessing.
unday Eucharist is
at 9.30am in the main church. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist (also known
as Holy Communion or Mass). It is a liturgically and musically rich service,
with a thought-provoking sermon. We encourage all people to share the
sacrament of communion with us, or to receive a blessing as they wish.
In the sacrament of communion we discover Christ present among us. It is the center of our communal worship, and the high point at which we begin our week. The celebration of this sacrament is a continual reminder that we find God in Christ in and through communion with others.
Every Sunday service is followed by a time of fellowship and refreshment in the Parish Hall.
ccasional Services
are arranged throughout the year to celebrate special events and the seasons
of the church year. The church also hosts important milestones in the
lives of its members and of those in the wider community.
Baptism is a sacrament that we are always happy to celebrate. Infant baptism reminds us of God's love even before we know of it, and we are always delighted to welcome new members into our community.
Marriages at St John's are always unique and reflect the individuality of the couple. We have two beautiful locations, modern and traditional, for different types of weddings. We offer not only an excellent location, but an open-minded community with whom to explore the reality of God's love in your life together as a couple. Preparing for marriage here at St John's is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your relationship.
